The States Rebel....

No it is not another Civil War, just a little bit of the States reawakening to their rights and responsibilities to their citizens. Utah has fiinally passed the law covering tax payments in gold and silver. I have not seen a copy of the law as yet but I hope that it makes some recognition of the difference between face value and nominal value. I also hope that they were wise enough to include an option for citizens to ask for payment in same and a stipulation that the State never send the PMs to the Federal Government but rather sell at market and pay the Feds in fiat.

The Virginia Legislature has passed a law authoriziing the State to mint their own money in silver and gold (as per the Constitutional powers allocated to the States), it only awaits the Governor's signature.

Perhaps the States, severally and together, can save us from the madness that the Fed is inflicting. Think about it for a moment, would you rather be paid in a State of Virginia one ounce silver coin with a current nominal value of $35.00 or a pile rapidly shrinking Federal reserve notes? Which would be more valuable in a year? a month? a week?

Another way to look at it this; if you had to choose between one hundred ounces of silver (current nominal value $3,500.00) and thirty five $100.00 bills to be placed in a safe for you to open five years from now what would you put in that safe? What do you think a gallon of gas is going to cost in 2016?

If you chose the silver why do you put up with fiat now?

If you chose the fiat, well, all I can say is enjoy the bonfire because very soon the BTU value will exceed the monetary value.
