Reuters reports that Cuba has embarked on the path of reform and is trying to move past the Castro regime. To undertake the titanic task of bringing Cuba into at least the 1970s they have chosen the noted liberal thinker and reformer (wait for it) Raul Castro, Fidel's kid brother, and Jose Machado Ventura as point-men.
These two fresh faces (Castro is 79 and Ventura is 80, children really) will no doubt bring a fresh outlook to updating the Cuban state. Not to left out of one more bad idea (they have been trying that Marxist thing for a half-century now) they have decided, at this late stage in the game, to get involved in the real-estate blow-up "..buying and selling of homes will be permitted .." Wow, I can't see how that could turn out badly. Other reforms involve grappling with the overwhelming debt problems faced by the government.
Good Luck!
